Investous Review – Learn More About This Broker
Table of Content
Investous brokers was on the financial markets since 2018. They are under the ownership of the F1Markets registered in Cyprus. Unfortunately, numerous brokers in the world pretend to be reliable and no.1 in their business. However, only a few things can make them different. Primarily, the one everyone is worried about is security.
Without proper regulations, there is no point in looking at any trading conditions, offers, or trading platforms. That’s why we will go through all details about this broker in the following Investous review.
|Headquarters||Cyprus / Belize|
|Review Rating||3.0 on Trustpilot|
|Broker Type||Offshore broker|
|Spread||Floating around 2.5 pips|
Is Investous Safe? Regulation and Security
Since its registration, this broker had a trading license. Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission ( CySEC) was the institution that did issue that license. However, in mid-2022 this broker voluntarily renunciate its license. Afterward, the company issued a warning for traders to close all their trades. Since then, this broker doesn’t provide trading services.
Another key point is their Belize entity. All traders that are not from the EEA will trade with this broker. Which is registered as IOS Investments Limited in Belize. Even though they are licensed, this license is not strong as the ones coming from Tier 1 regulators. Some Tier 1 regulators are FCA, ASIC, and BaFin.
Such regulators require companies to follow strict rules. Firstly, they need to have enough capital to even register a company. Secondly, they need to provide negative balance protection. Thirdly and most importantly, a broker has to provide compensation funds. For instance, in the UK traders can get up to 85.000 GBP as compensation.
Trading Software Available
Investous broker offers a proprietary web trader and MT4. Compared to some other web traders, this one is quite user-friendly. It is suitable for both beginners and pro traders. However, some pro traders will find it ineffective because they don’t have advanced features. Some charting options and trading tools are crucial in making a proper trading decision.
That’s why we suggest anyone stick with the MT4/MT5 platform. On the contrary, MT4 allows traders to use copy trading features. In addition to that, it is more reliable and provides a vast of functional options. Moreover, it’s available for any iOS and Android device.
Important to realize is that none of these platforms provided guaranteed stop-loss. On the positive side, this broker allowed scalping and hedging on their trading platform. This is often one of the main features pro traders are looking for.
Accounts Types at Investous
Investous broker has 4 live account types available. Those are:
- Basic – $250
- Gold – $25.000
- Platinum – $100.000
- VIP – $250.000
To point out, some conditions that the broker presents are not realistic. Which can be confirmed in the trading platform. In addition to that, you can check any Investous broker review and look for more confirmations. Many clients had a negative experience with this broker. Not to mention their shamelessly high requirements for certain account types.
Investous Trading Instruments
Investous broker has a quite solid group of assets in their arsenal. However, with so many negative Investous broker reviews we can’t rely much on this broker. Nevertheless, those assets are divided into different groups. Those are:
- Forex – AUD/CAD, USD/JPY, EUR/NOK
- Commodities – natural gas, crude oil, gold
- Indices – FTSE 100, AUD 200, Dow Jones
- Shares – Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Alibaba
- Cryptocurrencies – BTC, XRM, ADA
On the trading platform, the maximum leverage was 1:30. Which is completely following ESMA rules. However, the Belize entity offers quite higher leverage up to 1:500. In addition to that, spreads differ quite a bit from the presentation. They are competitive and start FROM 0.6 pips. But that doesn’t mean they are 0.6 pips. Another key point is the overnight swap. Where overnight swap commission is sometimes ruthless.
Methods of Deposit/Withdrawal
Investous broker has quite expensive funding methods. Even though they provide quite trusted options for deposits and withdrawals, fees are insanely high. Those options are:
- Debit/Credit cards – 3.5% fee
- Wire transfers – 30 units fee
- Neteller – 3.5% fee
- Skrill – 2.0% fee
Must be remembered that the broker has the right to charge a withdrawal fee of $80. It’s a so-called internal fee, which is complete nonsense. Another non-sense is a 100% bonus on the initial deposit. Which is banned in the EEA zone. But Belize subsidiary is not obligated to follow those rules.
Not to mention that the broker has to process all withdrawals within 24 hours. Unfortunately, some traders have experienced issues with this step. You can check other Investous reviews. Especially ones on Trustpilot. On the positive side, the broker allows one free withdrawal per month.
